It’s always been a goal of mine to make something of myself in the business world. Even as a kid, I was always dreaming of something more. Well, look at me now. I’m the CEO of probably the greatest mug e-commerce site in the world. I’m a busy goat. Places to go, people to see, trees to climb. So here’s an insight into what my typical day looks like:
9.00 – 11.00 – Customer service
I always dedicate time each morning to customer service as it’s at the core of everything we do. One thing I’m particularly proud of is our dedication to keeping our customers happy. I’ll check our socials and send out a hilarious tweet or two before answering emails and taking calls. We’ve got a great team, but I’m a hooves-on boss and like to get stuck in too.
11.00 -12.00 – Product development
We’re a creative bunch, and we’re always adding new designs to our collections. We’re inspired by our team, our humans, and our surroundings, creating quirky, funny and even a few cheeky mugs almost daily. I’m not saying our The Boss mug was made specifically for me but, it was.
12.30 – 13.00 Lunch
Our humans keep us very well fed at D.O.G. Fruit, veg, hay and grain are all on the menu. A well-fed goat is a productive goat!
13.00 -14.00 Post-lunch Goat Yoga
If you haven’t heard of goat yoga, you have to give it a try! It helps me feel fit and healthy and clears the mind, and gets me ready for an afternoon of being a big-shot business goat. Don’t forget to take some time each day for self-care, it will make you a better CEO, trust me.
In fact, it was one of the inspirations for my lovely You Goat This mug.
14.00 – 16.00 – Packing orders
The afternoon is spent packaging all of our orders and making sure everything is wrapped up for the day. It takes a lot to keep a bunch of goats in check all day, but my excellent leadership skills have served me well.
16.00 – 17.00 – Quality control
I’m a stickler for detail, so before any of our funny mugs are posted, I check they are of the highest quality and represent what our brand is all about. Printing, presentation and packaging are all checked over before they make their way to their new homes.
16.00 -17.00 – Post office
The end of the day is when we do our post office run. There’s one in the village close to our barn so luckily we don’t need to drive. Goats are great at many things, but driving is not one of them. We always do our best to post your orders the same day, so you get your mugs delivered quickly.
17.00 – Home time
This isn’t to say we completely clock off; our website is available 24/7 so if you feel the inclination to purchase one of our cat mugs at 3 am, you can! We always put our customers first and will get back to you as quickly as possible. Finally, it’s time to cosy up in our warm and homely barn and get some well-earned rest, ready to get up and go again in the morning.
